It was a pretty uneventful weekend, though very pleasant and filled with gorgeous sunshine. We came back to the farm in Hawick on Thursday to pick up Azalea, and ended up staying out there all weekend. Azalea had lots of fun running around the farm. She especially enjoys riding her "voom voom" (the pink car) in the driveway, throwing around any plastic or rubber balls she can find, and playing with the "muk" (milk) jugs from the recycle bins (actually empty water jugs). She also got to pet the cows with grandpa, ride great grandpa's voom voom (golf cart), and got to play with her second cousins on the Hudson side on the 4th. Azalea also got to discover croquet on Sunday over at Pam and Norman's. She appears to love the game as much as the rest of us do, though she does more of a shuffleboard-type push with the mallet rather than hitting the ball. Oddly enough, Azalea never went in the lake this whole weekend, didn't make it to the parade (we weren't sure we'd be able to handle her there), and didn't stay up for the fireworks. Naomi got lots of love from her grandparents and great aunties. She was pretty much being held the whole time. It was nice for me to be able to rest a bit, still recovering after the ear surgery, with all the family stuff going on. Thanks to everyone for their help, and for a great weekend!
Naomi's doing well... putting on some weight and changing every day. Laura keeps saying she wants her to stay this size forever.
